Why learn German?

It is the third most popular language taught in universities and courses and speaking german might open up business opportunities as Germany is exporting the most goods in the world.
German tourists are almost everywhere and they spent a lot of money in foreign countries.
In Germany lived many poets and thinkers. Many books are published in german only. A lot of great philosophical literature is written in german and is understood only to its fullest when reading it in its original language, in german.
