Traditional German Music

Listen to Traditional German Music called "Volksmusik" (folkmusic). Volksmusik is the traditional german music played in certain regions in Germany. (example: Bavaria in south Germany)

"Volksmusik" was played originally in small villages and reflected the unique life styles of the inhabitants, their feasts and their society and served to mirror and cultivate their traditions and stories. But nowadays this kind of music is played mostly in Bavaria.

Not many people in Germany listen nowadays to traditional german music. They rather listen to international pop music.

I prefer Irish Folk Music instead. However, if you like to listen to it then go to Bavaria.
