German inventions influence our lives today especially in the medical field starting from the Aspirin tablet invented by Felix Hoffman in 1897.
The first scientific pregnancy test was also a German invention created by Selmar Aschheim.
To name just a few:
In 1714 Daniel Fahrenheit invented the mercury thermometer.
In 1870 Robert Koch studied the cause of infection and discovered the tuberculosis bacillus in 1882.
The television was invented in 1930 by Manfred von Ardenne.
The chip card was invented in 1969 by Jürgen Dethloff.
