The German Currency is Euro.
The German Mark was the official currency of West Germany until 2002. After that the euro coins and euro notes were introduced early 2002. All existing German mark in cash form can still be changed into euros any time at any branch of the Bundesbank in Germany. You can send Banknotes to the bank by mail, if you like.
